Our Values


Grace, known for her empathic nature, always had an eye for inclusivity. Whenever she noticed someone feeling left out or excluded, she took it upon herself to extend a warm invitation into her friendship circle. With a gentle smile and a welcoming demeanor, she bridged gaps and brought people together. 

It wasn’t just about adding numbers to a group; for Grace, it was about creating a sense of belonging and fostering connections that might not have been made otherwise. Her kind actions often turned strangers into friends and left a lasting impression on those around her.


Grace O’Malley-Kumar was a vibrant force of unity and empathy. Her innate ability to bring people together stemmed from a deep-seated belief in the value of inclusivity and kindness. Grace was always aware of the dynamics around her, always attentive to those who might feel marginalized or overlooked. Her keen sense of empathy enabled her to spot even the subtlest signs of someone feeling left out or treated unfairly.

She possessed a rare courage in addressing unkindness, never shying away from standing up for what was right. Grace O’Malley-Kumar’s life was a beacon of selflessness and dedication. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, her altruism shone brightly. Grace, driven by a profound sense of duty to her community, volunteered to assist at the Walthamstow vaccination centre. She stood at the forefront of the fight against the pandemic, a true embodiment of courage and care. Undeterred by the potential risks to her own health, Grace’s primary concern was for the well-being of others. Her efforts, along with those of fellow volunteers, were monumental – together, they administered vaccines to over 100,000 people.

In her second year of medical school at the University of Nottingham, Grace’s Wanted to join the Royal Army Medical Corps. This decision was a testament to her unwavering intention to put the needs of others before her own. Grace’s aspirations in the medical field were not just a career choice; they were a reflection of her deep-rooted desire to make a meaningful difference in the world.

Grace’s kindness was not just an attribute; it was a way of life that deeply touched all who knew her. Her actions, driven by an innate sense of compassion, having left an indelible mark on the world. As we continue to build the Grace O’Malley-Kumar Foundation, we are inspired by her extraordinary spirit. Our mission is not just to honor her memory, but to actively extend her legacy of kindness and selfless service. We strive to emulate Grace’s exemplary qualities in our work, aiming to touch lives as she did and continue the ripple effect of her remarkable kindness.

How we Replicate this

The Grace O’Malley-Kumar Foundation is dedicated to supporting young individuals in their academic and sporting endeavors, promoting community service, and fostering a spirit of kindness and resilience that Grace exemplified.

Our areas of focus will be through sport and eduction we will make sure no child feels left out or lonely, ensuring that everyone is happy. Grace made sure that no one ever felt left out.


Sport was a great love of Grace’s excelling across many different sports, representing England in Hockey and playing cricket at a county level. Described by her teamates grace brought her own caring character to the pitch, driving up team moral, making sure not one player was left out. We want to help emulate Grace’s compassion for sport and care by making sure that no child is ever left out, making sure no one can say they are lonely. 

During School Grace always stood up to bullies and gave a voice to those who didn’t have one, making sure nobody felt lonely what so ever. 

Our goal is to make sure that no child ever feels lonely, coming home from school and they have no one to talk to. This is what it truely means to be more like Grace, to look out for everyone and what we want to do.
