A few words about

The Nottingham University Cricket Club Memorial Game.

On the weekend of the 22nd of September we were lucky enough to have two back to back events, the amazing T20 style cricket game and some of Grace’s school friends running in the Robin Hood half marathon. The weekend was great with both events being a hit, with the cricket and half marathon both raising a great amount of, from so many generous donators and people who turned up to the game.

Four team took to the field to battle it out over a T-20 style knockout stage and a T-10 final; Grace’s XI, Barney’s XI, NUCC XI and Bishop’s Hull XI.

The First round

In the first round, our team took on Bishop’s Hull in an exciting T-20 matchup. We had the honour of the batting first and setting a competitive total for them to chase. It was a nail-biting contest, with both teams showcasing their skills and determination. After a thrilling innings from both sides, we managed to secure a victory.

The Final

Riding high on our win, we advanced to the finals to face the formidable Barney’s XI in a rapid-paced T-10 clash. While our team gave it their all, Barney’s XI emerged as the ultimate champions of the day.

Here’s looking forward to next year’s memorial game. Until then, let’s keep the legacy of Grace and Barney alive in our hearts and on the cricket pitch! We would like to extend our Gratitude to the university of Nottingham, Oddballs and Ocean nightclub for helping put this event on.
